Completition Rules
- All competitions shall be run under IFSA rules.
- Anglers must fish from allocated peg.
- All competitions will be run on a catch and return basis.
- Each fish will be measured. 1 point will be awarded for each centimetre on the measuring stick. A fish must touch the line before a point is awarded.
- 5 points will be awarded for every fish landed plus the measurement of the fish. In the case of lesser spotted dogfish 40 points in total will be awarded. Eels under 100cm will receive 40 points. Eels over 100cm will receive 100 points. Ray to be measured across wingspan and will be classed as a round fish.
- The first lesser spotted dogfish must be measured. This measurement will be used in the event of a tie.
- Eels will not count in the big fish prizes.
- The adjoining angler must measure and record fish on the competitors match card.
- At the end of the competition the adjoining angler must sign off the match cards which will be returned totalled up.
- No size limits apply. Mackerel, sand eel and weaver are excluded.
- All anglers senior and junior to qualify for biggest fish prize.
- Fish must be measured and returned before the next cast is reeled in, with the exception of a big fish take.
- 30 points will be awarded for 1st place, 29 points for second place and so on. Anglers who blank will receive half the points of the lowest score.
- Any complaints must be made to the organiser within 45 minutes after lines up.
- Any angler littering the beach may be disqualified. Please take all litter off the beach.
- The decision of the club committee is final.
