The second competition of the 2011 Master Angler competition brought us to Kilgorman south or Salleens to the locals.
With 14 senior anglers 4 Juniors hitting the beach with excellent weather with darkness beginning to close in a lot of fish were expected.
Fishing started slow but soon picked up as darkness fell most of the fish were small flounders. it was emerging that the middle section of the beach was fishing particular well with Ronnie McWilliams quickly on to 15 fish followed closely by Joe Byrne with 13 fish.
At the end it was won by Joe Byrne with 39 fish and 902 points with Ronnie McWilliams in second with 32 fish and 704 points.
The juniors section was won by Kevin Kinsella with 17 fish and 410 points with Josh Connolly in second with 14 fish followed closely by Nathaniel Hull also with 14 fish.
