The Third competition of the 2011 Master Angler competition brought us to Ballinoulart.
With 12 senior anglers 5 Juniors hitting the beach with excellent weather and a nice surf rolling in.
Fishing started slow but Adam O'Neill was first out of the blocks with a schoolie bass on the first cast. As darkness fell fishing was still slow with some schoolies and small flats showing up with reports that Neil Dodd (junior) was running away with on peg 6. Darkness settled in and the fishing improved going into the last cast i t was between three anglers David McNeill, Wayne Hull and Adam O'Neill, with Wayne managing to pull a 52cm bass from the surf the day was his. This was Waynes first competition win.
The juniors section a close run thing with each of the juniors managing just 2 fish it was won by Neil Dodd with 2 fish which he managed to pull on the first cast with his older brother Cian in second place.
